4 Of The Best Phones Of 2021

E ver since the pandemic started, things have not been running smoothly for smartphone companies. From a global chip shortage to release delays and serious shortages of labor, the cost of producing a smartphone has risen considerably. Only a select few elites in the world can afford some of the best smartphones in the world now and are they even getting their money’s worth? Let's find out with 5 of the best phones of 2021.

iPhone 13

This one is not that big of a surprise. iPhones have been a part of the yearly list since the very first iPhone was released. Continuing their annual trend of small incremental changes per phone, the iPhone 13 does not look that much different than the iPhone 12. At a pretty decent price of $829, you get 128 GB storage, a larger battery life, a new super-fast A15 processor, and a camera sensor in your ordinary iPhone 13 that you previously got exclusively on iPhone 12 Pro Max last year. It is not recommended to buy this phone if you already do have an iPhone 12; although the upgrades in hardware do make it worth it if you are currently reading this on an iPhone 8, there is no reason not to buy this phone.

Google Pixel 6

Google’s flagship phone has a lot to offer you in just $599. For the first time, Google uses its own proprietary mobile phone processor that is on par with the traditional android Snapdragon 888. The special feature of this is that it contains machine learning and artificial intelligence that can provide tons of cool software. Overall, it has a 6.4 inch 1080p OLED display with 8 GBs of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB. The battery life is amazing and can easily last up to two days with light use and it can support wireless charging as well. With two cameras, one is 40 Megapixels wide and the other is 12 megapixels ultrawide, you will find that it is one of the best camera systems you will get on the market right now. It is truly a feat to be this low priced and simultaneously be on par with other flagship phones.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung, yet again, has come out with another excellent S series release. This 6.8 inch Samsung flagship was one of the first phones to release in 2021 and an early release did not hinder its deliverance in quality. It provides a quad-camera with the main camera providing 108MP and a single front camera is 40 MP but none of this is the coolest feature of this camera system. With this phone, you can zoom 100x with absolute total clarity making it a milestone in technological developments. Along with this, it can have a minimum of 12 GB of Ram and maximum storage of 512 GB. If you are going for raw power in terms of hardware, the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra is the must-have phone of the year.  It does not have a 120 Hz display though which is a bit of a letdown to be very honest.

Oneplus 9 Pro

Oneplus used to be a brand not so long ago that provided flagship-level smartphones at very affordable prices, so it is genuinely sad to see it is priced at least $800. However, whatever consumers lose in terms of cost,  they gain with decent hardware and software advancements. A common weakness of previous One Plus phones used to be their cameras, which are improved here with a 48MP + 50MP + 8MP + 2MP quad rear camera and a 16 MP front camera. The RAM ranges from 8GB to 12 GB and it has 128 GBs of storage minimum. Overall, it is not a better phone than the previous entries, but it is definitely a contender for one of the best phones of the year

Conclusion

These were the best phones of 2021. As you can see a lot of these are not distinct form entries in 2020 and that can be attributed to the problems we mentioned in the intro. However, if you are sitting on a phone from 2017, these are a huge upgrade.
