4 Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Micheal Jackson's Death

T he king of pop died on June 25th, 2009 at the age of 50, due to involuntary manslaughter by his personal doctor, Conrad Murray. However, despite facts to the contrary, there are a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding Michael Jackson’s death perpetuated by self-proclaimed “believers” out there who are certain that he is still alive, and somehow all of this was faked.

These theories started to emerge when investment banker, David Dunn, stated that MJ had serious financial troubles before his death and was on the verge of going bankrupt. Some believe he changed his own identity to escape his financial problems. Others believe that he did die but his death was some form of a conspiracy by “the system”.

Now, there is a lot of evidence to deny these theories, and here are the best (craziest) ones!

His Will Was Not Signed By Him

In 2012, Micheal Jackson’s siblings signed a letter accusing Micheal Jackson’s lawyers of forging the will of Micheal Jackson. Their main case was that on July 7th, 2002, the day on which the will was signed, Micheal Jackson was not in Los Angeles so he could not have signed it.  The siblings also went on to claim that Micheal despised his own lawyers and wanted nothing to do with them. These allegations could very well be the case of the bitter next of kin who felt they did not get their due in the will.

Hollywood Hairdresser’s “Confession”

In July 2018, Hollywood hairdresser, Steve Erhardt, took to Twitter stating he had some good news regarding Micheal Jackson that even his family does not know. He specifically mentioned the “believers” indicating that he might have information that he is not dead. Unsurprisingly, there was no follow-up to this tweet however, believers insist that it is because the alive Micheal Jackson did not want this information outed.

Further ‘Speculations’ by Family Members’

Involuntary manslaughter by Micheal Jackson’s doctor paved the way for the family of Jackson to come up with bizarre theories about his murder.  We start with Paris Jackson who in 2017, declared that she thinks her father was voluntarily murdered. The way she phrased it made it seem like it was a dog whistle towards the conspiracy theory that Micheal Jackson’s death was caused by the Illuminati.

Another theory was forwarded by his sister who claimed that he was killed because of his music catalog. La Toya Jackson pointed towards a note written by the former pop legend that stated how he was scared for his life and how “the system” was going to kill him for his publishing catalog and estate. This note was published by The Sun but the credibility of this newspaper is as we all know shaky at best.

It is interesting to note that a lot of these conspiracy theories are fueled by members of Micheal Jackson’s family.

Micheal Jackson committed suicide

This is probably the most believable of the conspiracy theories. In 2009, LA County declared the death of Micheal Jackson as involuntary manslaughter. The singer had been having issues with his sleep so his personal doctor Conrad Murray prescribed him a combination of drugs that would help him with this problem. This combination of drugs ultimately became the cause of his death, and Conrad Murray was sent to 2 years in prison on manslaughter charges.

Conrad’s lawyer, however, theorized that the cause of death was suicide by drug overdose due to the financial troubles Micheal Jackson had found himself in during the time of his death. This theory was not further explored by officials.

Conclusion

Micheal Jackson did die an untimely death and it is often hard for people to digest that this is just how life is. Yes, the circumstances of his death are sudden and shocking, but we must not forget that by the time he died, the pop legend was living an extremely difficult life and people who live such lives often make desperate decisions that end up costing their lives.

Celebrities are, at the end of the day, humans just like us and sometimes we tend to forget that. If you feel distressed after reading this article, please read this.
